Reaching out with love to create new and abundant lives in Christ
The vision of Lord of Life Lutheran Church is a reflection of the vision of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod; One Mission – One Message – One People.
Jesus said, "Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you" (Matthew 28:19-20). What this means for our church is that we should reach out into the community by developing ministries that address the spiritual needs of the people, thereby giving others the same opportunities that our membership have in knowing and serving our Savior.
"God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, not counting mankind's sins against them" (2 Corinthians 5:19). God sent his only son to live among man, demonstrate his righteousness, and suffer and die on the cross to save us. Consequently, we have been given eternal life through Jesus Christ and his grace. Therefore, our church congregation should share the Good News with all, telling all with whom we come in contact with what it means to have a personal relationship with Christ Jesus.
As Paul told the church at Ephesus: "One Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all" (Ephesians 4:5-6).
Paul further implored the church at Phillipi: "Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ . . . stand firm in one spirit, contending as one man for the faith of the gospel" (Phil. 1:27). This means that we are all children of Christ and that we cannot go it alone and must work together as one family in order to bring others to know Christ.

We need to make sure that the following question can be answered with a resounding “YES!”. “If Lord of Life were to disappear tomorrow, would our church be noticeably missed in the community?”
The focus of what we provide can be summed up with the following statement regarding worship at Lord of Life: “If you miss your family and its loving atmosphere – Welcome Home!”
Our teaching is from Martin Luther and thus has the Bible as its foundation, the truth of God. We are not caught up in tradition but will not separate from the truths of Scripture. We place supreme value on being a place of grace, where the central truth of the Bible is proclaimed and experienced, namely, that through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, we are saved by grace, through faith, not by our works.
We believe that God intends His message to be relevant and applicable to have meaning and impact in everyday life. Those who connect with our family, experience the acceptance and joy that radiates from Christ Jesus. They sense the friendliness of this family. Worship is one of the most profound ways people are touched by God. Prayer and care for other people is expressed in many different ways, for all sorts of people. We are committed to bringing the Good News —to our congregation, our community and the fullest extent of our reach.
From our inception as a family of believers in 1982, we have been known as a friendly, welcoming church. We operate through relationships and care enough to hold one another accountable in the context of our love for one another. It is our privilege to serve God by helping others experience the Lord of Life. This is the centerpiece of what God has continued to do throughout the history of this exciting family.
We would like you to become a member of our family.
