1980 The leaders and members of King of Kings Lutheran Church in Omaha made plans to start a congregation in the Elkhorn area.
June 1, 1980 The first worship service of the Chapel Hill Mission was held in a portable classroom by Skyline Elementary School.
July 1981 Pastor Gerald Howland began to serve as King of King's Associate Pastor for Mission Development, serving the Chapel Hill Mission.
April 1982 The mission congregation was organized and named Lord of Life Lutheran Church.
August 1982 Construction began at the present site at 208th Street and Bonanza Boulevard.
December 12, 1982 The church building was dedicated and Pastor Howland was installed as the first pastor of Lord of Life.
March 15, 1987 Pastor Fred Naumann was installed as the pastor of Lord of Life.
June 9, 1991 Pastor David Linkugel was installed as the pastor of Lord of Life.
May 12, 1996 Ground breaking was held for the new sanctuary, office and narthex addition.
January 26, 1997 The new sanctuary,
office and narthex addition were dedicated.
